Firstperson is the place to share opinions and stories relevant to people interested in sustainable communities.
We’re looking for short articles written in the first person, between 200-500 words. The style is informal and relaxed – please avoid jargon.
Where possible include pictures to illustrate your articles, it’ll make them much more readable. We have a bank of images which we can use to illustrate your article if you have no relevant images. A picture of you will help to personalise your article.
We want to hear:
- Your views on
- The industry
- Future challenges
- Policy / legislation
- Your community
- Global warming and communities…and other hot topics
- Careers
- What do you look for in a graduate
- How to get in to your industry?
- How did you get in to the industry
- A day in your life
Alternatively you may like to answer one of our general questions:
- What does a sustainable community mean to you?
- What makes a community work?
- Tell us about a community you’ve lived in
- How do you contribute to making sustainable communities?
- Which parts of your job do you enjoy?
- What would you change about your community?
- What regulations or laws would you change to help communities?
- What is the most difficult part of your job?
- Tell us about an event you’ve been to
For your subsequent posts you can either develop your theme or write about another topic. The choice is yours.
